Let’s look at 3 reasons why you should be consuming fruit.
The flesh of the fruit has large amounts of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber attracts water and turns to gel during digestion. This helps slows digestion and increase satiety. It can help lower blood cholesterol and glucose levels.
The skin of the fruit contains insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber promotes material movement through your digestive system and increases stool bulk. It can be beneficial to those who struggle with constipation or irregular stools.
Fruit contains vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals have several bodily functions, including growth, repair, and maintenance, no matter how old you are.
